Anthony Beaudoin, Jr

August 18, 1946 in Natchitoches, Louisiana, Anthony and Hazel welcomed their 2nd child (of 9), first born son into the world. They decided to call him Anthony, just like his father.

As a young boy, Anthony accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized into the Catholic faith. He received Confirmation and Holy Communion. The Beaudion family lived in small town Nachitoches area until Anthony Jr, was around 10 years old.

In the mid 50’s, Anthony Sr. decided it was time to pack up his family and relocate to the big city of Houston Texas. This is where Anthony Jr. lived most of his life. Anthony attended Our Mother of Mercy Catholic School, as well as Kashmere High School where he excelled in academics. He also began his affiliation with Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, his church home for the duration of his life.

After High School, Anthony met and married Joetta King, their union produced 4 children: Felton, Veronica, Monica, and Toni. Eventually, they parted ways and Anthony had two more children, Leonard and Jerome. He loved all of his kids in a special way including a step-son, Shaye Williams from his 2nd wife Joan.

Anthony will always be remembered as SPONTANEOUS! Those closest to him could always expect the unexpected from him. For example, one day Anthony surprised everyone and moved all the way to California. He stayed there for 10 whole years.

Another example of his spontaneity is that he held many jobs. From Truck driver to security officer to roofer, Anthony did a little bit of everything. However, his true labor of love was his work within a men’s group home. He provided personal care for Men with special needs. He truly loved the men there and they loved him. That job, the one closest to his heart, would also end up being the one he would retire from.

Outgoing and the life of the party, Anthony loved the club scene. Family members would playfully ask Anthony which aspect did he love the most; the music or watching the pretty ladies. He also loved to cook, specializing in “throwing something together”.

The last few years of Anthony’s life was spent at Pleasant Hill Apartments of Lyons Avenue. This 55 & up senior living facility provided him with joy for about 5 years. He departed this life on February 11, 2018, his parents, Anthony and Hazel Beaudion and brother Joseph Clarence Beaudion were waiting with open arms to receive him. Although Anthony Junior will be missed, we can hold our heads high, knowing he is with Our Heavenly Father!

Anthony leaves to cherish his memories with his loving children:Felton, Veronica (Terry), Monica (Monique), Toni (Tee), Leonard, and Jerome (La Keisha), two brothers: and Charles Andrew Beaudion, Sr. (Rachel), and Danny Beaudion (Gwen), five sisters: Justina Lewis (Abraham), Pumine Ann Laday (Ashton), Mary Carrie (Donald), Cecilia Hines (Dennis), and Priscilla Hines (Anthony). Anthony’s legacy still lives on with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
